Flight Path Viewpoint

Right-click commands for Flight Path Viewpoint in the Interpretation Tree.

Item Context Menu

Right-click an individual flight path viewpoint in the Interpretation Tree.

Actions

  • Link To Slide(dynamic submenu, listing the flight path's slides) Link this viewpoint to a slide, so that slide is shown as the camera reaches it. Appears only when the path has slides. (ID_LINKFPSLIDE_START…)
  • Navigate To — Snap the 3D camera to this viewpoint. (ID_POPUP_ITEM_GOTO)
  • Update Position — Re-capture this viewpoint from the camera as it is now. (ID_VIEWPOINT_UPDATEPOSITION)
  • Delete — Delete this viewpoint from the path. (ID_POPUP_ITEM_DELETE)

Animation Timing submenu

These set the frame count of the segment leaving the selected viewpoint(s) — the primary timing control. The same edits can be made by dragging keyframe ticks on the Flight Path Timeline.

  • Set Frame Count — Set the frame count directly. (ID_FLIGHTPATH_SETFRAMES)
  • Set Frames Per Metre — Set frame counts proportional to each segment's length, for a constant ground speed. (ID_FLIGHTPATH_SETFRAMEPERMETRE)
  • Set Duration For Selected — Distribute a duration in seconds across the selected viewpoints. (ID_FLIGHTPATH_SETDURATIONSELECTED)

Selection submenu

  • Copy Viewpoint Values — Copy this viewpoint's pose to the clipboard. (ID_FLIGHTPATHVP_COPY)
  • Paste Viewpoint Values — Paste a copied pose onto this viewpoint. (ID_FLIGHTPATHVP_PASTE)
  • Duplicate Viewpoint — Add a copy of this viewpoint to the path. (ID_FLIGHTPATHVP_DUPLICATE)
tip

A narration clip can be pinned to a keyframe on the timeline, so re-timing the segment carries its commentary with it. See Pinning commentary to a keyframe.
