Polylines

Right-click commands for Polylines in the Interpretation Tree.

Item Context Menu

Right-click an individual polyline in the Interpretation Tree.

Actions

  • Navigate To — Navigate to the item in the 3D view (ID_POPUP_ITEM_GOTO)
  • Rename — Rename this mesh in the project tree. (ID_ITEM_RENAME)
  • Group — Group the selected items into a single project tree entry. (ID_PROJEXP_GROUP)
  • Ungroup — Ungroup the selected group, restoring its contents to the parent. (ID_PROJEXP_UNGROUP)
  • Export — Export (ID_PROJEXP_EXPORT)
  • Delete — Delete this mesh from the project. (ID_POPUP_ITEM_DELETE)

Version Control submenu

Keep several admissible interpretations of the same feature side by side, choose which one is in use, and share the set with your team. See Interpretation Version Control.

  • Version this Interpretation — Put this polyline under version control, so its edits are kept as a history rather than overwriting each other. (ID_VC_VERSION_INTERPRETATION)
  • Fork Variant — Create an alternative interpretation of the same feature alongside the existing one. (ID_VC_FORK_VARIANT)
  • Use This Interpretation — Make this variant the one in use for the current scenario. (ID_VC_USE_INTERPRETATION)
  • Show All Interpretations — Draw every variant at once instead of only the one in use. (ID_VC_SHOW_ALL_INTERPRETATIONS)
  • Sync with Cloud... — Push and pull the version-controlled set to the shared cloud project. Save the project at least once first. (ID_VC_SYNC_CLOUD)

Selection submenu

  • Copy — Copy the selection and put it on the Clipboard (ID_EDIT_COPY)
  • Copy Orientation — Copy orientation (ID_BEDATTITUDE_COPYORIENTATION)
  • Paste Orientation — Paste orientation (ID_BEDATTITUDE_PASTEORIENTATION)

Quality & Refinement submenu

Transform submenu

  • Between Coordinate Systems (CRS) — Reproject the mesh from one coordinate reference system to another. (ID_CONVERTCOORDINATES_CRSTOCRS)
  • Translate — Translate the mesh by a specified offset. (ID_PROJEXP_TRANSLATE)
  • Set Z Value — Set z value (ID_POLYLINE_SETZVALUE)

  • Calculate Best Fit Plane — Calculate best fit plane (ID_NULLMENU_CALCULATEDIP)

Group Context Menu

Right-click the Polylines parent group / list header in the Interpretation Tree.

Actions

  • New Group — Create a new object based for this type (ID_GROUPPOPUP_NEW)
  • Convert to Regular Grid (2.N D Grid) — Interpolate a triangulated surface through the group's visible polylines by kriging. Ctrl-select an orientation group as well to constrain the surface dip with structural measurements. See the Surface Gridding guide. (ID_POLYLINE_GRIDTOMESH)
  • Spreadsheet View — Spreadsheet View (ID_DEFAULTGROUP_SPREADSHEET)
  • Group — Group the selected items into a single project tree entry. (ID_PROJEXP_GROUP)
  • Ungroup — Ungroup the selected group, restoring its contents to the parent. (ID_PROJEXP_UNGROUP)
  • Set Focus — Set focus (ID_PLANEATTITUDEGROUP_SETFOCUS)

  • Estimate Orientations from Selected Traces — Derive virtual dip/azimuth measurements from each selected trace polyline by SVD plane fit combined with the outcrop-mesh normal at the trace centroid. Produces a new orientation group ready for DFN generation; near-straight traces are rejected. (ID_INTERP_ESTIMATEORIENTATIONS)
  • Make Names Unique — Make names unique (ID_POLYLINEGROUP_MAKENAMESUNIQUE)
  • Clear All Items — Clear all items (ID_GROUPPOPUP_EMPTYLIST)
  • Use Own Display Properties — Let this group carry its own display settings instead of inheriting the parent's. (ID_GROUP_USE_OWN_DISPLAY_PROPS)
