Interpretation Tree
The Interpretation Tree lists what you create on the data — orientations, polylines, faults, surfaces, geopolygons, sections, sketches and flight paths. It is the Interpretations tab of the left panel.
Above the tree, a branch selector and Manage Branches button control interpretation version control. Only the objects in the selected branch and scenario are listed.
Branches
The branches appear in this order. Each is always present, except the three marked as conditional.

Shared menus
Scan Lines, Palaeocurrent, Log Elements, Measurements, Flight Path, Surfaces and DFN show the standard group menu on their header, and several of them show the standard item menu on their objects. Both menus, and the list of who uses them, are on the Standard Item and Group Menus page.
Not in the Interpretation tree
- Viewpoints and scenes used outside a flight path live in the Collections tree.
- Channel simulations and the geomodels they record have no branch in the current release; they are driven from the Channel ribbon tab.
Interactions
- Tick an item or a group to show it in the 3D view.
- Set Focus on a group makes it the target for new interpretations; it is shown in bold.
- Group a selection to make a new group, and drag items between groups.
- Double-click an object to navigate to it.
